Our Staff

Vicki, Certified Veterinary Technician:

Vicki is originally from the River Valley area and started working with Dr. Dally and Dr. Baenen at River Valley Veterinary Clinic in 2000, moving with them when they opened SGAH in September 2003.  She realized she wanted to become a Veterinary Technician and returned to school to attend the Veterinary Technician program at Madison Area Technical College and graduated in May 2004. Vicki and her husband, Bruce,  reside in Dodgeville with their daughter, Ava, and son, Kason. They also have a rambunctious Terrier Mix, 'Rowen' and a two handsome cats, 'Boris' and 'Yeti.'

Ruth, Certified Veterinary Technician:

Ruth started working in the veterinary field when she was just a junior in high school and decided to go to college to become a Veterinary Technician. She attended Madison Area Technical College and graduated from the program in May of 2003. Ruth started working with Dr. Dally and Dr. Baenen at River Valley Veterinary Clinic in May 2003, moving with them when they opened SGAH in September 2003. Ruth lives in the Spring Green area with her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Maelie. She shares her house with their playful Beagle Mix, 'Tessie' and adorable Beagle, 'Lucie Baggins.'

Meighan, Certified Veterinary Technician:

Meighan graduated from UW- Madison with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science then continued to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. In September of 2003 she began at our clinic as a boarding staff member before becoming an assistant and currently a CVT. Meighan lives in the River Valley area with her son, Jerek. Her 4 legged furry children are Hairless Chinese Crested, 'Opey,' Dalmation Mix, 'Alfredo,' as well as her Terrier Mix, 'Joey.'

Austin, Certified Veterinary Technician:

Prior to starting with us and gaining his certification, Austin gained valuable experience working as a veterinary assistant at an emergency practice in Madison. Austin started working for us in May of 2023, soon after he graduated from Madison Area Technical College with a Veterinary Technology degree and obtained his certification that summer. Austin lives in the Dodgeville area with his other half, Erica, and their little furry friends, 3 pet rats. 

Codi, Certified Veterinary Assistant:

Codi started in 2013 working in boarding and now works as an assistant. She lives in the Spring Green area with her daughters, Brantlee and Rilynn. Her furry kids include her 2 dogs, 'Layne' and 'Luke'. She also has a cow named 'Nova' and a flock of chickens. 

Michelle,  Groomer and Veterinary Technician:

Missy is originally from Spring Green and started working for us when we opened in 2003. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at Madison Area Technical College in 1993 and now enjoys being a groomer and a fill-in Veterinary Technician.  Missy and her husband, Dave, have three children:  Morgan, Casey and Spencer. She also has a rambunctious lab mix, Princess Buttercup, a handful of loving cats and a horse. 

Ruben, Reception:

Ruben has worked at our clinic since 2017, starting off as boarding staff and now works as our receptionist. Over the years of working here he also took on the roles of assistant and maintenance. Ruben resides in the River Valley Area with his wife, Candy, and their dogs, Eli and Wyatt. They also share their home with a few loveable cats Lily and Olive and two horses Biscuit and Bailey. 

Courtney, Assistant:

Courtney joined us in 2015 as been assisting us ever since. She always had a passion for animals which drove her to get a job in the veterinary field. She currently lives in the River Valley Area with her dogs and cats. 

JoAnn, Assistant:

JoAnn joined our team while in high school in 2019, graduating in 2020 from Ithaca High School. She started off working in boarding and now works as an assistant. She went back to school in 2023 to become an EMT to volunteer for a rural community. She also likes to volunteer and foster for her local humane society. In her spare time she likes spending it with her whole crew of pets, which consists of 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 guinea pigs. 

Jessica, Accounting:

Jessica has been working with us since the spring of 2015, keeping track of us financially and making sure we all get paid. Jessica lives in the River Valley area with her husband and has been a long time client of the animal hospital. She shares her home with two dogs and a kitty. 

Hannah, Boarding Staff / Assistant:

Hannah started working for us in our boarding facility in 2021. She still primarily works in our boarding facility making sure every pet is well taken care of. When she is not caring for our boarding patients she also helps us in clinic by taking on some assisting hours. She lives in the River Valley area with her dog Caliber and her cat Hope. 

Corinn, Boarding Staff: 

Corinn started working for us in our boarding facility in 2023. She does an amazing job at making sure everyone's pets are well cared for while staying with us. She has been noted by other staff to be very patient with some of our more anxious patients, and does a great job at calmly working with them.
